
My name is Alan Flanagan.I'm a lawyer with an intense interest outside of the law, in the science of human nutrition and health. I founded Align Health to help translate the science of human health and performance into actionable information you can put to use.
About Me
In 2009, I qualified as a barrister and have practised as a lawyer since. My deep passion for the science of nutrition and human health, however, was an academic gravitational pull I couldn't resist, and which led me to pursue an evidence-based masters in Nutritional Medicine at the University of Surrey. All that said, I believe our learning is self-directed and experiential, and I consider myself a lifelong student and a constant learner. That will never change.
I enjoy writing on a range of topics on nutrition, training and mindset, and have a passion for spreading this information, which I do through the blog. In daily life, I like aeropress coffee, slow-cooked beef brisket, powerlifting, and have a minor obsession with sleep.
